In the Northeast Invitational championship Friday, Evan Hock hit a grand slam and Rickey Whiteman hit a solo home run in Osceola’s 16-7 win over Lakewood. Taylor Layner had nine strikeouts in four innings to get the win.

Layner made the all-tournament team along with teammates Mike Boriboun and Josh Townsend. Lakewood’s Jeremy Brown, Morgan Harris, and CC Copeland, Clearwater’s Dillon Stone, Northeast’s Jerrod Flanagan, Indian Rocks Christian’s Brad Miller and Brian Balbin and Largo’s Mike LaGrange and Matt Piatt rounded out the tournament team.
