Plant P John Suskauer, a rising senior, has committed to North Florida, Panthers coach Dennis Braun said Saturday. Suskauer, a 6-foot-1, 185-pound lefty, threw 28 innings this past season for Plant (16-8), compiling a 3-0 record, 2.25 ERA and 17 strikeouts.

He is the second Hillsborough County player to commit to the Division I Ospreys this week, joining Berkeley Prep SS Bubba Olivera. Additionally, Suskauer is the second member of Plant's senior class to choose a school, as 1B Pete Alonso committed to Florida in June.
