Basketball: Lakewood's Clark chooses Saint Francis

Lakewood’s Michael Clark has committed to play basketball at Saint Francis (Pa.). He is the third Spartans player to make his college decision this offseason.

Clark, a senior who transferred from Boca Ciega in April, averaged more than 20 points for the Pirates last season before injuring his ankle a week before the district tournament.

Two weeks ago, Clark took his official trip to Saint Francis before making his decision this past weekend. The Division I Red Flash play in the Northeast Conference and went 5-24 last season.

Clark joins teammates Jacobi Boykins (Louisiana Tech) and Anthony Lawrence Jr. (UCF) as college recruits.
