Chamberlain SS Bianka Bell and Palm Harbor University INF Samantha McCloskey, the Tampa Bay Times' respective players of the year for Hillsborough and Pinellas County, have been named to the MaxPreps 2012 All-American Softball Team.

Bell, who will play at LSU, is a first-teamer; McCloskey, bound for UCF, is a second-teamer. Only six other Florida players made the squad.

Bell, who led the Chiefs to the Class 7A state title as a senior, hit .720 with 11 home runs and 35 RBIs. Earlier this month, she was named Gatorade Florida Player of the Year.

McCloskey, a .611 hitter, had 14 homers and collected a bay-area-record 66 RBIs.
