One down, four to go.

That’s the theme right now for Lakewood RB Bernard Reedy.

The 5-foot-10, 175-pound Reedy made an official visit to Toledo last weekend, his first, but said Monday he plans to take four more trips before making a final decision on which college he’ll attend.

His reason for taking his time?

It’s simple, Reedy said. He wants to see what other scholarship offers come in.

Thus far, Reedy has offers from schools such as Iowa, Iowa State, Syracuse and Toledo. Syracuse will get a visit, but after that his other three spots (an athlete can make five officials) are open.

Reedy had fun at Toledo, and now has a good feel for the program.

“They have a great coaching staff,” he said. “It’s a great fit for me. I’d be at slot receiver, running back and kick returner.”

The downside?

“It was cold,” Reedy said. “Too cold. Especially the first day. The second day, it was okay.”

As of Monday, Reed has no leader.
