Bishop McLaughlin senior Christian Nummy's high school career is over.
The tight end/safety/running back broke three bones in his foot in Friday's 54-25 loss to Cambridge. Nummy will be out for the rest of the season, Hurricanes coach Derrick Alexander said.
Nummy caught two passes for 38 yards this season.
As a junior, the 5-foot-9, 133-pound Nummy rushed for two touchdowns and caught three more. But Alexander said it's Nummy's knowledge of the game that his team will miss the most.
"He's the best football player I had," Alexander said.
