First of all, have you noticed we started a new blog? We kind of felt some of our more conversational ideas were getting lost in the deluge of news items coming from the 85 or so schools we cover, so we decided to take our funkiness off to the side to better engage those who prefer being engaged.

HomeTeam is still the place to be for breaking news, features, notebooks and columns. But when we have a thought, an idea, something that does not necessarily fall under our news umbrella, we're heading over to the blog. Like the old days. Except, well, still without the anonymous commentors. Yeah, I miss those guys, too.

Heck, some of you newbies probably don't even remember the Blog Bowl. But it's coming back in 2012.
