Boca Ciega principal Michael Vigue announced in an e-mail that the school has hired Michael Hall as its girls basketball coach.

Hall coached the boys basketball team at Satellite Beach Satellite this past season. Before that, he coached Satellite's girls basketball team for two seasons.

Vigue said Hall is a health teacher and will move here after the school season ends.

Hall replaces Will White, who resigned after eight seasons because he wanted to spend more time with his family. White compiled a record of 193-45 with six district titles and seven straight 20-win seasons. He also led the Pirates to three straight final four appearances from (2008-10). Boca Ciega lost to Clearwater in the Class 5A region semifinals this past season.
