Boca Ciega’s Jaylaan Wimbush has committed to North Dakota State, a powerhouse program that has won three straight Division I-AA titles.

Wimbush was recruited as a safety. He played multiple positions on offense for the Pirates, finishing with 228 yards receiving and 52 rushing as a senior.

This is the first bay area prospect for Bison assistant Atif Austin, the former Tarpon Springs coach who joined NSD’s staff this winter and will recruit most of Central Florida.

The Bison are 43-2 since 2011 and have won 24 straight games, the longest streak in Division I-AA history.
