North County champion East Lake will battle South County winner Pinellas Park on Friday for the Pinellas County Athletic Conference championship.
East Lake (14-1-2) has fared well recently against county teams. The Eagles haven't lost to a Pinellas County school in two seasons. Pinellas Park (8-1-2) is a surprise entrant, but the Patriots knocked off Northeast and tied Lakewood -- their chief competitors -- to reach the title game.
Pinellas Park will host the championship, which is slated to kick off at 6:30 p.m.
Palm Harbor University won last year's title 1-0 over Lakewood in overtime.
