Pasco defensive back Jamie Byrd already holds Division I-A offers from Florida Atlantic, Iowa State, Purdue and Western Michigan, but one of the nation's top ranked teams has recently shown a lot of interest in the 6-foot-1, 195 pound senior.
Boise State, ranked No. 4 in the country in the latest Associated Press poll, has stayed in constant contact with Byrd the past couple of weeks, and Pasco coach Tom McHugh said the Broncos coaching staff has requested to see more film.
"Now, I'm not sure what that means," McHugh said. "But they've definitely stayed in contact with him."
Byrd leads Pasco with 32 tackles (eight a game) and has a sack and a forced fumble on the season. As a fullback in the Pirates' high-powered offense, Byrd has four carries for 41 yards and six catches for 58 yards.
