USF has become the first in-state school to enter the Darryl Richardson derby.
Hawks coach Sean Callahan reported today that the Bulls have become the third major college program to offer the 6-foot-5 rising junior, joining Tennessee and Ohio State.
Richardson, being recruited on physical upside and the arm strength he brandished in the spring, has one career start for Armwood -- in May's spring jamboree. He becomes the third member of the Hawks' 2011 team to receive an offer from USF, joining rising junior DB Jarvis McCall and rising senior OL Kevin McCoy.
