Calvary Christian will hold a ground-breaking ceremony on Friday at 6:30 p.m. for its new baseball field.

The field will be located just south of the school's relatively new football, soccer and track and field complex on campus. The entire playing surface will be synthetic turf, including the infield, base areas, warning track and batter's box.

The school said the field will be ready for the 2013 season, which begins in late February. The ceremony will be held prior to Calvary's home football game against Keswick Christian.
