The Cambridge Christian baseball team won the Bay Conference championship in rare form Thursday afternoon.
Lancers pitcher Derek Self tossed a 5-inning no hitter as Cambridge won the conference title 14-0.
"He mixed his pitches up real well," Cambridge coach Rick Shears said. "He had some great off-speed stuff to complement his fastball. Shorecrest is a pretty good team too. It's awesome. That's all I can say."
Self struck out four and issues three walks in the win. It's the third no hitter a Lancer pitcher has tossed, following Peter Miller and Logan McDougal.
The Lancers (18-4) head into next week's Class A-9 district tournament as the top seed. But first, they've added a game with Tampa Catholic tomorrow at 4 p.m. at TC.
