Cambridge Christian athletic director/boys basketball coach Scott Thompson has stepped down to join Lon Kruger's at the University of Oklahoma.

Dr. Boyd Chitwood, Cambridge's headmaster, confirmed Thompson's departure in an official school release. It is believed Thompson will be Kruger's director of basketball operations, the same position he held at USF from 2003-06.

Thompson spent five seasons at Cambridge, leading the Lancers to the playoffs each of the past three seasons. His 2010-11 team finished 20-7, reaching the Class A region semifinals.
