The Cambridge-to-Quincy pipeline may be continuing this year.

Lancers senior baseball player Matt Fishman has scheduled and official visit to the Division II college for the weekend of Oct. 24, Cambridge baseball coach Rick Shears said.

Fishman, who helped head the Lancers to two straight Class 1A state championship games, is being recruited as a pitcher. He also plays first base and outfield at Cambridge.

Shears said Quincy head coach Brian Unger was impressed with Fishman on tape. He will workout there on Friday afternoon and attend the school’s homecoming football game the next day.

Cambridge has sent three players to Quincy: football players Austin Welti and Erik Shears and baseball player Trent Tagliarini.

Fishman was 8-5 last season with a 2.18 ERA and 53 strikeouts in 61 innings. He held opponents to a .233 batting average.
