Canterbury senior running back PJ Franklin received an offer from Stetson University, according to coach Bill Jones. Franklin led the Crusaders (4-6) with 1,180 yards and 19 touchdowns.

Stetson renewed its football program in 2011 and will begin play in the Pioneer Football League next season. The school last played football in 1956. The Pioneer Football League bills itself as the only non-scholarship, football-only NCAA Football Championship Subdivision conference.
