Clearwater Central Catholic midfielder Lindsey Cooper will miss Wednesday night's district semifinal game against St. Petersburg Catholic after spraining her ankle and bruising a bone in her foot last week, Marauders coach Frank Seidl said.

The injury occurred in a game against the Barons on Jan. 14. Seidl said the sprained ankle doesn't appear to be serious and Cooper could return for Friday's championship game if the Marauders advance past the semifinals.

Cooper, a Florida signee, is the second-leading scorer on the team with 22 goals and 15 assists.
