Central ATH Quadavis Battle will sign with Highland (Kan.) Community College, Bears coach Mike Einspahr said in a text message.

Battle, a 6-foot-3, 190-pound athlete, was one of the North Suncoast’s top all-around athletes as a senior. He averaged almost 6 yards per carry and scored three TDs for the Bears. He also caused two fumbles and blocked a punt.

Battle qualified for state in the 110 and 300 hurdles after winning district and county championships in both events. He earned second-team all-North Suncoast honors in football and first-team honors in both hurdles events this year.

He plans to make his commitment official with a ceremony at the school Tuesday afternoon.

The Scotties finished 2-7 last fall.
