Central goalkeeper Anthony Kaspars, who this season helped the Bears capture their first district title since 2002, has committed to play collegiately for Tusculum College in Greeneville, Tenn., according to Central athletic director Jeff Spivey.
Kaspars was a St. Petersburg Times' all-North Suncoast honorable mention selection. With Kaspars between the posts, Central finished 9-8-3 and advanced to the postseason before losing to Class 5A state finalist Durant 5-2 in the region quarterfinals.
Tusculum is a Division II school playing in the South Atlantic Conference. The Pioneers finished the 2010 season 2-12-3 and 1-8 in the SAC.
