McKenzie Burns, a shortstop and pitcher for Central, will sign a letter of intent with Saint Leo University on Monday at 3 p.m. in a ceremony at the school.

Burns batted .551 in 73 plate appearances for the Bears last season. She drove in 11 runs, scored 21 times and swiped 26 bases in 29 attempts.

As a pitcher, Burns went 1-2 with a 3.32 ERA in 19 innings.

She was selected to the Times all-North Suncoast first team last season.
