Playing for a 1-9 team hasn't stopped Xavier Johnson from getting noticed.
The Chamberlain running back, listed at the beginning of last season at 5-foot-9, 170 pounds, received his first college offer Monday, courtesy of UMass.
Johnson, a Times' all-county first-team selection, carried the ball 231 times for 1,736 yards and 16 touchdowns in 10 games last season. He was personally responsible for 62 percent of the Chiefs total offense.
