Two former Hillsborough County head coaches -- and one current one -- are among the 27 applicants for Chamberlain's football coaching job released earlier today by the school's administration.

The school is seeking a replacement for veteran Joe Severino, who is retiring at the end of the school year.

The list includes former local coaches Mark Kantor (Gaither) and Hugh Dehnert (Leto) and current Blake coach Harry Hubbard. Also in the group: former Chiefs defensive coordinator Danny Persaud, who was replaced in midseason by Severino in a move that created a mild stir. Persaud is a 1989 Jefferson graduate.
