Heralded Tampa Catholic football player Christian Green is 95 percent sure which school he will sign with Wednesday, his father said today.

The younger Green, a 6-foot-2, 200-pound WR prospect is rated by Scout.com as the state’s No. 1 recruit. He recently announced that Florida State and Georgia were his finalists, and Hiram Green confirmed today his son will ink with one of those schools.

“He’s pretty much made up his mind,” Hiram Green said.

Green will announce his decision live on ESPNU at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday along with his TC teammate, OL Chaz Green.

“This has been very difficult for him,” Hiram Green said. “I don’t think he knew how difficult this was going to be. As it went along, he kept saying, ‘I want more information.’ It was a tough process. As he began to narrow it down, it became a little easier but it was still difficult because he had built relationships with the coaches. They had spent a lot of time recruiting him.”

Asked if his son was comfortable with his decision, Hiram Green responded, “Yeah.” He added, though, that the family would talk about things a little more tonight.
