Heralded Tampa Catholic quarterback Christian Green, one of the state’s most coveted football recruits, will take an official visit to Georgia this weekend, his father said Wednesday.

Green also plans to make official visits to Florida State and Florida. Dates for those trips have not yet been set.

Georgia, Florida State, Florida and USF are Green’s four favorites. He is expected to make a decision sometime this fall.

“He wants to be around the players, and be able to experience what life is like at those colleges,” said Hiram Green.

Rivals.com rates Green, who is being recruited mostly as a receiver, as one of the country’s 100 top prospects. The site gives him four out of a possible five stars in its ratings.

Green made an unofficial visit to Florida last weekend.

Georgia plays Arizona State on Saturday night.
