Tampa Catholic football standout Christian Green was too tired to talk after returning to Tampa from his weekend official visit to Florida State, but his father, who accompanied him on the trip, provided some insight on how things went in Tallahassee.

“It went very well,” Hiram Green said. “It’s (new coach) Jimbo Fisher’s team now. We got a chance to really see what he’s going to do. Before, when we went up there it wasn’t really his team. Now, it’s his team and we got to hear what his vision was.”

And …

“Based on what he told us, Christian is part of that vision,” the elder Green said.

Although the trip got high marks, Christian Green, a WR prospect and consensus top-100 national recruit, isn’t expected to make a public commitment until Wednesday, which is National Signing Day.

He will pick either FSU or Georgia, which he visited last fall.

“I think Christian had a lot of questions answered (this weekend),” Hiram Green said. “Not only from the coaching staff; he was able to talk to the players he needed to talk to. I think he was comfortable with that.”

Christian’s mother, Fredia, and older brother, Brandon, also went to Tallahassee this weekend. Brandon, a DE and 2009 TC graduate, committed to Florida A&M last week and was making his official visit the same time Christian was at FSU.
