Cincy offers CDS' Robert Davis

The latest: Davis was offered by Cincinnati on Monday, Coach Lane McLaughlin reported. It's his first BCS offer.

Offers:: Ball State, Bowling Green, Cincinnati, Florida Atlantic, Florida International, Holy Cross, Middle Tennessee, North Texas, Presbyterian.

Last season: Despite a lingering shoulder sprain, Davis still ran for more than 1,800 yards while going both ways in the small-school Class 2A-5 district. An International Baccalaureate student and state-qualifying 100-meter specialist in 2011, he has amassed more than 3,300 rushing yards in the last two seasons.

They say: Davis has a two-star rating from Rivals, though the fact he plays for a tiny private school probably costs him a star.
