C.J. McGill an 8A all-state pick

Two days after signing with the University of Mobile, Wharton PG C.J. McGill has been named a second-team pick on the Florida Association of Basketball Coaches (FABC)/Source Hoops Class 8A all-state squad.

McGill is the only bay area player named to the 15-player squad, and one of 10 locals to earn FABC/Source Hoops all-state recognition. Last month, he received the "Mac" McGahagin Award as the top senior player in Hillsborough County.

The area all-state selections:
