The Tampa Prep girls soccer team has advanced to its second state title in three years.

The Terrapins defeated Tallahassee Maclay 3-1 in Thursday's FHSAA Class 2A state semifinal at UT's Pepin Stadium. They will play Delray Beach American Heritage in Friday's title game at 7:30 p.m.

Tampa Prep ran out to a 2-0 lead after pair of goals in the first nine minutes of play. Junior Alyssa Bryant scored in the second minute on a scramble in front of the net. Junior middle back Isabel Dalence then scored in the ninth minute on a penalty kick.

Junior center midfielder Jackie Rosenthal scored in the 53rd minute blasting a shot from the right side of the goal from 25 yards out inside the far post.
