Seminole's Rachel Jones picked an opportune time to score her first goal of the season. Jones latched onto the end of a Megan Lawrence pass to push across the only goal in Seminole's 1-0 overtime victory over Mosley in the Class 5A state semifinal at University of Tampa's Pepin Stadium.

Jones scored in the 84th minute after Seminole and Mosley were unable to produce a goal in regulation with monsoon-like conditions creating havoc for both teams throughout the game. Lawrence sent a cross into the box from the left wing that snuck its way through a host of players before finding Jones on the back post. Jones shot the ball past Mosley goalkeeper Emily Grammer and was immediately tackled to the wet turf by her celebrating teammates.

Seminole will face 2009 Class 6A defending champion Melbourne, a 2-1 winner over George Jenkins and the nation's No. 1 ranked team according to ESPN Rise, in Saturday's final at 1:30 p.m.
