Clearwater's Matt Misner signs with Southern Polytechnic State

Clearwater’s Matt Misner will attend Southern Polytechnic State University in Marietta, Ga., an NAIA power.

Misner, a second-team, all-conference selection, averaged 8.6 points and 6.7 rebounds and blocked 61 shots this past season. He is the 58th player to play in college in Clearwater coach Allen Carden's career.

The Tornadoes also had two former standouts switch colleges.

Cory Carden, who played this past season at Jacksonville (Texas) College, signed a scholarship to play at Dallas Baptist University. Carden averaged 6.1 points and 4.1 assists this past season for Jacksonville.

Jon Hogan has transferred from the Master's College in Santa Clarita, Calif., and will play at St. Pete College next year.
