Countryside defensive back Michael Johnson has been offered a scholarship by the University of South Florida, according to Cougars' coach Jared Davis.
Johnson, who is 5-foot-10, 165 pounds and will be a junior this season, was a Times' second team all county selection as a sophomore.
He competed in last weekend's 7-on-7 Sling-N-Shoot in front of USF's coaches, and his performances, including a solid outing covering Jesuit standout and Miami commitment Travis Johnson, was impressive enough to help him earn his second offer. Johnson also has an offer from Iowa State.
