Folks, we request all the names and resumes for those who apply for most every football coaching job, and we did so in the case of Mitchell, but we only received a list of nine names. Most of those names were familiar to me, others I could at least reference from our archives, and Google provided me a helping hand.

Unfortunately, in updating the nine finalists for Mitchell, I couldn't find any info on Dan Whittaker. I asked for it, didn't receive it, and someone at the county office was tracking it down for me (through the principal and athletic director).

When I didn't receive the info Wednesday, I listed Whittaker's name without any information because, well, I had none. Not an excuse, just explaining what happened, and for that I apologize to Dan Whittaker, who was the Mitchell junior varsity coach last season, and also an assistant coach on the Mustangs' state championship soccer team last season.
