Lakewood defensive lineman Dante Fowler remains suspended and will likely miss this week's district game against Dunedin.

Fowler, a five-star recruit who has verbally committed to Florida State, was suspended two weeks ago by Spartans coach Cory Moore because of a confrontation with coaches during a film session.

Fowler was suspended for Lakewood's district win over Blake. Moore reiterated last week that Fowler's suspension was not for one game and there was no timetable for his return. The Spartans had a bye this past week and play Dunedin on Friday.

Moore said during Monday's study hall that Fowler still was indefinitely suspended and it was doubtful Fowler would return for Friday's game.

"There's really nothing new to report," Moore said. "We'll have to see how everything plays out."
