Jefferson's Davis receives offers from Texas Tech, East Carolina

The national recruiting of Jefferson junior wideout Andre Davis has again began to pick up steam.

Davis, regarded as one of next year's top prospects in the state, received offers from Texas Tech and East Carolina, Jefferson coach Mike Fenton said Tuesday.

Former Plant City running back Chad Scott is recruiting Davis for Texas Tech.

Davis already owns offers from Florida State, Miami, USF, UCF and FIU.

A Times All-Suncoast first-team selection, the 6-foot-3 Davis led the bay area with 68 catches for 1,201 yards and 18 touchdowns.
