Florida State heir Jimbo Fisher's in-school visit to highly-recruited Leto running back Jeremy Deering has apparently paid off in an official visit.
Deering has scheduled to make an official visit to Florida State on January 8-10, Leto offensive coordinator Frank Rose said Tuesday.
Rose also said Deering is nearing planning an official visit to Florida soon as well.
Deering has already made an official visit to Purdue. He will visit Illinois this weekend and was considering trips to North Carolina (He had a trip planned but had to cancel it for collarbone surgery) and Rutgers.
The day after longtime coach Bobby Bowden's retirement announcement, Fisher made a visit to Leto to talk to Deering last week. He met with the Falcons senior for over an hour, pitching to him it is "better to be needed than wanted."
