Hugh Dehnert is out as Leto's head football coach. Dehnert submitted his resignation on Thursday morning, Falcons offensive coordinator Frank Rose confirmed.

This was Dehnert's fourth season leading the Falcons program but Leto finished 2-7. Dehnert was 10-29 in his tenure at Leto, which was the longest this decade, but he never had a winning record.

Rose, who is also the team's recruiting coordinator said he was asked to work through the recruiting season, which he agreed to do. Leto running back Jeremy Deering is one of the bay area's top recruits and owns more than 40 scholarship offers.

Leto is the third head coaching job to open up over the past two weeks, following Alonso and Jesuit.
