Countryside K/P William Griswold received an in-home visit from Trinity International University coach Kirk Wherritt on Saturday.

TIU, an NAIA program, is a Christian liberal arts college in Illinois.

Wherritt, hired in December, previously coached at UNLV and at Utah under then-coach Urban Meyer.

Griswold has been promised a scholarship offer.

On Jan. 20, Griswold will visit Quincy (Ill.) with two Countryside teammates -- RB Alton Taylor and QB Jimbo Chmelik.

In addition to TIU and Quincy, he is being recruited by College of St. Scholastica, Hope College, Olivet Nazarene, Virginia Military Institute, Webber International and Wheaton College.
