Dixie Hollins pitcher Matt Harris commits to Presbyterian

Dixie Hollins pitcher Matt Harris committed to Presbyterian College in Clinton, S.C., this week, Rebels coach Jason Szafarski said.

As a junior last season, Harris was second-team all-county with a 2-5 record and a 3.29 ERA. He struck out 48 batters in 49 innings. 

Szafarski said Harris has worked since he was 12 to play Division I college baseball. This offseason, Harris put on 25 pounds and increased his fastball to 89 mph, Szafarski said.
