He didn't expect either, and that just made scholarship offers from Colorado and Rutgers that much sweeter, according to Countryside defensive back Alex Dixon.

"Didn't expect them at all, though I have gotten letters from both schools,'' Dixon said Wednesday, after the Buffaloes made him their offer after attending practice.

The 6-foot-1, 180-pound defender, ranked No. 7 on the Times 25 list of the Tampa Bay's top recruits, is now up to double digits in offers, as the Buffs and Scarlet Knights joined Clemson, Nebraska, North Carolina, West Virginia, Kentucky, Western Kentucky, Florida State and USF.
