River Ridge C John Childs and Largo F Donavan Hale were both named third-team all-state selections in Class 6A, the Florida Association of Basketball Coaches and Source Hoops announced Monday morning.

Childs, a 6-foot-9 post, is one of Tampa Bay’s top juniors. The first-team all-North Suncoast selection averaged 19 points, 10 rebounds and six blocks per game and had at least three triple-doubles this winter. Childs holds offers from Jacksonville and American University.

Hale, a 6-foot-5 sophomore, led the Packers in scoring (15.4 points per game) while averaging 7.2 rebounds, 2.2 steals and 2.5 blocks per game.
