After having a scholarship offer from Auburn rescinded last week, Jefferson receiver Chris Moore wasn't about to risk the same fate with Cincinnati, his favorite.

So the 6-foot-1 Dragon, still not fully recovered from recent hernia surgery, committed to the Bearcats earlier this week.

"They had two receivers already commit and they were only taking three, so I didn't want to take a chance," Moore said Thursday morning. "They were the perfect school for me."

Moore, who had approximately 15 offers, said he has spoken with several Bearcats coaches since his commitment. As a junior, he totaled nearly 800 receiving yards and had three catches for 88 yards in a one-half win against Plant in May's spring jamboree.

Moore said he'll be limited when Jefferson begins two-a-days Monday.

"I'm going to be out there," he said. "I'm probably only going to jog and catch a little bit. I'm probably only going to be there for one of the practices."
