Drury brothers commit to North Florida

Wiregrass Ranch standout pitchers Zach and Austin Drury have orally committed to North Florida, Bulls coach Jeff Swymer announced Monday night on Twitter.

Zach Drury, a 6-foot junior, was one of Pasco County’s top talents this spring. He posted a 1.73 ERA with 97 strikeouts in 60.2 innings. He pitched the Bulls to the Class 7A region final with a complete game shutout victory over nationally ranked Steinbrenner.

The right-hander also batted .362 with 22 RBIs and 10 extra-base hits.

Austin Drury, a sophomore, appeared in 14 games for the Bulls. He struck out 43 batters in 37.1 innings and compiled a 3-2 record. He also batted .344 with 14 RBIs.

Oral commitments are non-binding until recruits sign letters of intent during their senior seasons.
