Dunedin shortstop Kellen Brown has orally committed to Florida Atlantic, according to Falcons coach Tom Hilbert. Brown, a rising senior, hit .429 with 21 RBI, eight doubles, 29 runs scored and seven steals in his junior season. In 107 plate appearances, Brown had only five strikeouts.
As a sophomore, Brown hit .563. He will be joined at Florida Atlantic by former Tarpon Springs coach Dickie Hart, who left this summer to become an assistant for the Owls.
