Durant coach Mike Gottman was honored as the Buccaneers High School Coach of the Week following the Cougars' 20-15 victory at Sickles last Friday.

Using a play called "Z Cobra," the Cougars clinched the win on Je'Twan Smith's 11-yard TD pass to David Claypool with 28 seconds remaining. Durant, winners of four in a row, improved to 6-1.

Gottman, who was given a tour of One Buc Place and allowed to observe a morning practice as part of the award, also received $1,000 to go toward Durant's football program.
