Eagle baseballers make it official

Nick Mazzoni and Tyler Ramsey, a pair of East Lake baseball standouts, signed with their respective colleges last week.

Mazzoni, a shortstop who batted .311 and drove in 21 runs while scoring 20, signed with Polk State College.

Ramsey, a pitcher, signed with Southeastern University. Last season, he has a 2.20 ERA with 35 strikeouts in 20 innings.

Both players helped the Eagles win their first district title in nine years last spring, and return along with pitcher Eric Hanhold, who signed with Florida in the fall.
