East Bay boys basketball assistant Paul Oggero has been hired to replace Terry Varvil as girls coach, athletic director Scot Tipton announced earlier today.

A graduate of Florida Gulf Coast University, where he played two seasons, Oggero spent the past two years assisting Billy Teeden with the Indians boys. According to Tipton, Oggero has five total years of coaching experience.

Varvil, who led the Indians to 39 total victories in the past three seasons alone, stepped down to devote more time to his family.
