The beginning of the new semester has been kind to Tampa Bay Tech.

East Bay starting QB Tajee Fullwood is heading to TBT, according to head coach Frank LaRosa.

“From what I heard, he’s going to Tech,” LaRosa said. “He seemed upset that he was leaving, but this is Hillsborough County.”

Fullwood, a sophomore, had a 52.6 completion percentage and threw for 744 yards last year, including a career-high 211 yards against Durant. The dual-threat QB also led the Indians (4-7) with 690 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns on 153 carries.

Meanwhile, the Titans (8-4), who advanced to the second round of the Class 7A playoffs, were led by senior QB Aaron Midthus. TBT head coach Jayson Roberts said this morning he had not yet seen Fullwood at school.

"We will be happy to have him if he shows up," Roberts said.

The Times reported earlier today that former Middleton WR Richard Benjamin, one of the area's top recruits for 2013, has also transferred to TBT.
