East Bay's Duque finds juco home

East Bay senior guard Dario Duque, who helped lead the Indians to their first district boys basketball title in 42 years this past season, will sign with South Georgia Technical College, a two-year program in Americus, Ga.

Indians coach Billy Teeden and Ben Bromley, Duque's travel-ball coach, confirmed the commitment. He becomes the third member of the Bay Area Hurricanes AAU team to sign with a college this year.

A second-team pick on the Times' 2012 all-Hillsborough County squad, Duque led the Indians in scoring (18.0 ppg), rebounding (6.2 rpg), steals (4.1 spg) and blocks (1.3 bpg). In his two seasons at East Bay, the Indians amassed a 38-15 record.
