A day after a sixth-place finish at the Outback Invitational, East Lake's boys golf team returned to East Lake Woodlands and set a school record.
The Eagles shot a team score of 2-under 142 in a match against Seminole and Northeast. According to coach Terry O'Reilly, that is one shot better than the previous record.
Not only was it a good team performance, but senior Nick Corniellie had a hole-in-one on the par-3 fourth hole. Corniellie, who shot 36, used a pitching wedge from 105 yards. Parker Fox led the Eagles with 2-under 34 on the South Course. Sebastian Hilpl and Steve Aebersold each shot even-par 36.
East Lake plays again today and will also play in Thursday's Mustang Invitational at Seminole Lake CC.
